Jason Dombkowski

Tippecanoe County is Jason Dombkowski's home. This is where he and his wife, Cristie, have chosen to raise their children and contribute to a strong, vibrant, and safe community. Jason's decision to run for Tippecanoe County Sheriff is driven by the need to bring professionalism, dedication, and commitment to the office—characteristics of a Sheriff that residents of our county deserve. His interest in becoming Sheriff was solidified when he was urged to run by friends, law enforcement & civic colleagues, and many Tippecanoe County residents.

“Jason Dombkowski is an innovative leader in Indiana law enforcement. His experience and professionalism make him the clear choice for Sheriff of Tippecanoe County."

        — Smokey Anderson,                   former Tippecanoe County Sheriff

Jason has a reputation as a professional, devoted, and proven leader. In law enforcement throughout his adult life, Jason has served the West Lafayette Police Department for the last 25 years—11 years as Chief of Police. Jason has demonstrated a strong and consistent commitment to open, accountable, and transparent administration, and he has been an innovator in area law enforcement—including the deployment of police body cameras and dedication to highly-effective K-9 teams. He's a proud graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy at Quantico, Virginia, Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command, and both Purdue University and Indiana University. And, his extensive experience and relationships with Local, State, and National law enforcement agencies make Jason the best choice for Tippecanoe County Sheriff.

By appointment of Governor Daniels, Governor Pence, and Governor Holcomb, Jason serves on the Board of Trustees for the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute and the Governor's Council on Impaired & Dangerous Driving. He is currently Vice President of the Indiana Association for Chiefs of Police.

Jason's training, accomplishments and leadership record are important. This is a challenging time for law enforcement and for our own Sheriff's Department. Jason will lead a well-trained and well-equipped law enforcement team—skilled, experienced, and tough on crime.

Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office needs a professional, devoted, and proven leader...

...that leader is Jason Dombkowski.
